Chris Remington – Assistant Coach

Chris Remington joined the Seattle Cheney Studs staff in 2019. He currently serves as Studs Assistant and First Base Coach. Chris was inducted into the Washington State Coaches Hall of Fame in 2018 after a 16 year career in officiating. He currently resides in Puyallup with his wife, Nicole and his daughter, Anna.

Derek Ridgeway – Assistant Coach

Derek Ridgway is going into his 1st season as assistant coach for the Seattle Cheney Studs. Ridgway will serve as the Studs Hitting, Infield and Outfield coach for the upcoming season. Coach Ridgway came to the Studs after finishing his playing career at Southwestern Oregon CC and then Pacific University, where he received a B.A. in Education and Learning. Derek has been an assistant coach at Southwestern Oregon CC for the past 4 years and was named NWAC Assistant Coach of the year in 2023.

Tegan Aden – Pitching Coach

Tegan Aden embarks on his fifth season donning the Seattle Cheney Studs uniform, showcasing his enduring commitment to excellence in baseball. His journey commenced through standout performances at Puyallup High School and Everett Community College before joining the esteemed ranks of the Seattle Studs. Currently, Tegan continues to hone his skills both on the mound and academically at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. Undoubtedly, his return to the Seattle Studs this season not only adds strength to the team’s pitching arsenal but also sees him in the role of pitching coach, a testament to his expertise and dedication to the sport.

Cody Aden – Recruiting Coordinator

With 11 years of coaching spanning high school, college, and professional levels, Cody Aden’s journey has been marked by excellence. Notably, he guided the Seattle Cheney Studs to an NBC World Series title in 2015 as their pitching coach. His tenure as Pitching Trainer at Driveline Baseball paved the way for a pivotal role in the Texas Rangers Baseball Operations department, focusing on Pitching Research and Development in 2018. Aden’s expertise extended to the Minor League as he served as a Pitching Coach for Ranger affiliates in Spokane and Arizona for the 2019 and 2020 seasons. In 2021, he brought his talents to the Milwaukee Brewers as a pitching consultant and Arizona affiliate Pitching Coach. Returning to Washington, Aden assumed leadership as Green River College’s Director of Pitching before transitioning to New Level as the Director of Pitching and Facility Manager, continuing to shape the future of baseball talent.
